We Help Where It Counts!

Many wonder why so many of today’s youth have low self-esteem. Why inner city test scores remain low and dropout rates high. Why so many of young people choose crime and drugs over a more productive and hopeful future. While there may not be a silver bullet answer to these questions, it is clear that low self-esteem often results from not having the proper tools, not being prepared and having an overall feeling that nobody cares.

Many of the children we reach have very few things in their lives one would consider “complete.” That’s why Project SOS feels it is very important to provide each child a high quality and complete back-to-school kit that has everything we would buy our own children.

Each school supply kit comes packed in a premium backpack. The average retail value of the complete kit is $75. However, due to negotiated discounts, in-kind donations and volume buying, we are able to deliver these kits at a cost of less than $15 each. This means that for every dollar we raise, we can provide $5 of benefit directly to those we aim to support.
